Norwegians Worldwide and Norway–America Association Merge to Strengthen Transatlantic Ties

On June 8, Nordmanns-Forbundet/Norwegians Worldwide and the Norway-America Association announced they will merge the two organizations to continue strengthening the relations between Norway and the US and Canada. The new organization will be named the Norway-America Association.

Scholarships

Norwegians Worldwide grants five student scholarships of USD 1,000 for participation at Norgesskolen 2019. Each scholarship reduces the school fee to Norgesskolen by USD 1.000.

Survey on Norwegians abroad

In the Spring and Summer of 2019, we conducted a larger survey of Norwegians abroad. Who are they? Why did they leave and how do they thrive? Do they speak Norwegian at home and what do they miss? A digital survey with 42 questions was distributed via social media.

Dual citizenship: the application process

Norway allows double citizenship from 2020 and the UDI (the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration) has launched a new electronic application form that is able to automatically collect information from other Norwegian authorities, and you can therefore deliver fewer documents than before.

It's s with regret we inform that the Board of Norwegians Worldwide on April 2nd decided to cancel Norgesskolen 2020. We have been hoping for things to improve, but the pandemic is becoming more serious day by day, all over the world.
