Personal data collected and stored
We store the following personal data about our members and customers; Name, postal address, phone number and e-mail address. In addition, we ask for birth date and possible illnesses and allergies in connection with Norgesskolen. When you become a member, renew your membership or sign up for Norgesskolen, you consent to Norwegians Worldwide collecting and storing your personal data.
Purpose of handling personal data
We handle the data to fulfill our obligations in agreement with you. We also use the information to provide you with information, offers and services in connection with your membership in the Nordmanns-Forbundet/Norwegians Worldwide or participating in Norgesskolen via e-mail, telephone, SMS and mail.
The basis of processing personal data
Information about name, address, telephone, e-mail address is used to fulfill the membership agreement. The basis for this processing is Article 6 (b) of the Privacy Regulation (GDPR).
Where you have given consent, the data will also be used to provide you with information, offers and services in connection with your membership by e-mail, phone and SMS. The basis for this processing is the privacy regulation (GDPR) Article 6 (a). You can at any time decline receiving such information from us.
Where you have given consent, photographs and film material may also be used for marketing purposes, mainly for Norgesskolen.
Collection of personal data
We store the personal data you have provided on our website in connection with your membership, or that you have given our employees in connection with your purchase.
We use an SSL certificate on our website, which, through encryption, ensures that the data is only available to the organization.
Disclosure of information to third parties
We will not share, sell, transfer or otherwise disclose personal data and information to others unless we are legally required to do so.
Deletion of personal data
Information we have received in connection with your membership is stored in our active customer records until the termination of the membership, or after five (5) years if the member has stopped communications with the organization. Deletion of any physical documents containing personal data happens by shredding once a year.
Rights for the registrar
We handle your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Act and applicable regulations. You may require access to and relocation of your personal data, as well as require correction or deletion of the data.
You may appeal to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (DPA) for handling of data that violates the rules.
We secure your personal information by both physical and virtual access control and access control, as well as by encrypting sensitive parts of the data provided.
